We're so excited to share Basement Sessions, a gose brewed in collaboration with our friends at Blackberry Farm Brewery
The folks from Blackberry Farm Brewery
are some of our oldest friends in the beer business. We first connected with Roy at our first venture the Busy Bee Cafe. We would drink rare beer collected on our travels until late in the night. To get out of the way and be closer to our cellar collection, we would often move the tasting to the basement of the Bee (now Trophy Tap and Table). We would discuss craft beer, scarcity, flavor and what we hoped craft beer could be. So, we decided to name this beer Basement Sessions: Good ideas come from the basement.
This first instalment of the series, started with a walk to the NC State Farmers Market to find the freshest herbs to add to our collaboration beer. We decided on lemon verbena, lavender, pineapple sage, and ginger for a bright, herbaceous gose with a savory salinity on the finish. Combined with the characteristic tartness of the style, Basement Sessions will be the perfect beach or pool beer to enjoy in this North Carolina heat.
Cans and draft will be available next Friday (6/15) at noon. Flattz Signature Flatbreads
will be here from 12 to 4 followed by Will & Pop's
from 5 to 9.
