(2017) Written and directed by Jordan Peele. Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener. (104 min.) R.

The most audacious movie of 2017 is this genre-shattering retelling of the gentle Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? as a horror film. Jordan Peele deservedly won an Oscar for penning a pivot on the romcom staple of meeting the girlfriend’s parents in a bucolic suburb. Drinking a cup of tea will never be the same again.

“Even though all self-proclaimed progressive people like to think we’re comfortable talking about racial divisions in America, we’re really not. And that’s what makes Get Out … pretty close to a work of genius” (Time).

Gates open 90 minutes before showtime.

Picnics are welcome. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought in; all nonalcoholic beverages, including water, must arrive in factory-sealed containers.

Where do I park? Can I bring my dog? How about food? What happens if it rains? For answers to these questions and others, check out our policies page (https://ncartmuseum.org/images/uploads/events/Summer_Movie_FAQ_6-12-2017.pdf) and our menu (https://ncartmuseum.org/images/uploads/dining/SummerSeason2018_MovieMenu_24X36_FINAL.pdf).
