Once again, your Chief Artsy Friend, Mavis Gragg, is hosting an evening of fellowship and art. On Thursday, October 11th, join fellow Triangle area attorneys at the Nasher Museum to take in a museum collection that is likely history in the making.
We will begin the evening at 6 pm with refreshments and a glass of wine at the Nasher Cafe. Then we will enjoy a guided tour led by local artist, William Paul Thomas
On view is People Get Ready: Building a Contemporary Collection. Under the leadership of deputy director of curatorial affairs Trevor Schoonmaker, Durham's Nasher Museum has built a collection with a particular focus on artists of African descent. Artists in this major exhibition include Amy Sherald, Nina Chanel Abney, Radcliffe Bailey, Barbara Chase-Riboud, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Genevieve Gaignard, Barkley L. Hendricks, Rashid Johnson, and Kerry James Marshall.
Open to lawyers and the people who love them or want to be them.
